Polymath School of Morioka v2025.10
This is the update log for the Polymath School of Morioka for last month. There were several updates last month.
- Launched the “Infancy program” for ages 0–3
- Held the second session of our experimental event, the “Handmade Meeting”
- Switched to a French-style management style
- Several changes to the specifications (no concurrent enrollment in an existing school, a move from application-based to recommendation-based admission, and more)
To carry out the Montessori method more rigorously, we run a variety of experiments on a weekly and monthly basis. We will keep updating the Polymath School of Morioka1 based on the insights we gain from living together with the children.

The Polymath School of Morioka is based in Morioka, Iwate, and its activities range freely through the rich natural surroundings of Takizawa, Shizukuishi and elsewhere. We currently run programs for ages 0–3, 3–6 and 6–12. Because the Polymath School is building and researching in practice a new model centered on homeschooling, based on a wild form of Montessori education, only families with the determination to seriously practice Montessori education at an international level can take part. ↩
